SEDC Cares represents the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform of the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). It reflects SEDC’s commitment to supporting communities and improving social wellbeing across Sarawak. Through this initiative, SEDC contributes to meaningful programmes that focus on welfare, education, and sustainable development, demonstrating its role as a responsible corporate citizen.

CSR Initiatives 2025

1. Solar Installation at Rumah Abus Anak Junan, Batang Oya, Dalat
A sustainable solar energy system was installed to provide reliable electricity for the longhouse community, enhancing their quality of life and promoting renewable energy solutions.

2. Handover of Equipment and Essential Supplies to Rumah Kanak-Kanak Datuk Ajibah Abol, Sri Aman
Essential equipment and supplies were contributed to support the welfare and daily needs of children residing at the home.

3. Handover of Food Donations to Maahad Tahfiz Raudhatul Jannah (RAUDAH)
Food donations were handed over to assist the institution in meeting the needs of its students and supporting educational and religious development.

CSR Initiatives 2026

1. Majlis Berbuka Puasa with YAB Premier
SEDC organised a Ramadan buka puasa event with YAB Premier, bringing together community leaders, staff, and local communities. The initiative aimed to strengthen community ties, foster goodwill, and demonstrate SEDC’s support for cultural and religious engagement.

2. Majlis Berbuka Puasa with TYT Sarawak
A special buka puasa event with TYT Sarawak was conducted to celebrate Ramadan while engaging directly with the community and state leadership, reflecting SEDC’s commitment to collaboration with stakeholders and community welfare.
