Medan Niaga SEDC, Marudi
Medan Niaga SEDC Marudi, completed in January 2022 and launched by Yang Berhormat Datu Dr. Penguang Mangil on 18 August 2022, is the latest addition to similar socioeconomic projects undertaken by the Corporation to support SEDC’s programme to provide affordable business premises for local entrepreneurs throughout Sarawak.
The 3-storey building provides a food-court with 12 units of food and beverage stalls on the ground floor. The building also provides 14 units of mini-shops/retail outlets and office spaces for rent to local entrepreneurs. It is located on Lot 2856, Puyut Land District, Sungai Ridam, Marudi. It is well supported with the provision of ample parking spaces, prayer rooms and public toilets.
Darul Hana Bridge Across Sungai Sarawak
The Darul Hana Bridge crosses Sungai Sarawak River was designed in a gentle curve shape from the Kuching Waterfront to the new Dewan Undangan Negeri. It provides pedestrian access from the two area.
The curved shape of the bridge is a result of the following considerations :
- It allows a comfortable walkway gradient suitable for disabled access while still providing sufficient clearance for river vessels
- The towers, cable network and deck create a 3-dimensional structural system that is light and naturally resist dynamic vibrations
- It orients the bridge towards particularly attractive viewpoint
The appeal of the Darul Hana Bridge is a result of the lightness, clarity and elegance of the bridge structure. The official opening ceremony was launched by the His Excellency The Governor of Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri on 11 November 2017.
New SEDC Tower at The Isthmus
The proposed New SEDC Office building is located at Lot 2878, Block 7, Muara Tebas Land District, Isthmus Kuching. The Isthmus is located in between of Kuching City North and Kuching City South at the Eastern portion of the existing Kuching CDB. Isthmus is located about 6-7km from Kuching CDB.
The subject site allocated has an area of about 2.73 acres, occupying one of the prime location in the Isthmus. As the master plan of Isthmus call for a pair of gateway buildings, the proposed 11 storey SEDC building will occupy one of the buildings, forming the important entry point to the Isthmus.
Being the Gateway Buildings, this New SEDC Office was conceptually conceived as an iconic building, strong in visual and aesthetic expression. It shall be functional, user friendly, practical, aesthetically pleasing and be responsive to the local climatic conditions, with sufficient sun-shade and weather protection. The new building is still under construction and scheduled to complete by the end of February 2018.
Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing
The premier wing of the Riverside Majestic Puteri Wing, this new Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing commands the panoramic view of the scenic Sarawak River, Darul Hana Bridge and the iconic State Assembly Building. It houses 272 fully serviced guestrooms, including suites and Executive Club Floors. The hotel has 3 fully equipped function rooms, ideal for events ranging from seminars, meetings to wedding banquets and private celebrations.

Borneo 744 - Blue Ocean Entrepreneurs Township (BOET)
Lot 744 is unutilized and provides opportunity for community activation via culture and creative activities. It will contribute in rejuvenating Bintawa and directly build visibility and hype for Isthmus. Proposing long-term lease of land area comprising 5 godowns, one 2-storey administration, car park and ancillary structures, to be demarcated at a later date in addition to right of way to enable access to river.
For the tenure of 15 years at zero rental cost, which can be extended upon mutual agreement. Businesses that enjoy commercial returns may be required to pay rental after the first 5 years of zero rental cost.
Borneo 744 aims to be a leading center for creativity, culture and entrepreneurship in Borneo. The primary sectors to focus on are crafts, performing arts, music, visual arts (including photography), fashion, film and entrepreneurship.
Urban Transformation Centre (UTC)
The government launched the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) which is a national initiative to provide a range of core services of Government and the private sector.
UTC will be placed in a One-Stop Centre or a buildings in major cities in every State to enable the city to make a wide range of communities with government departments and private sector in one building. UTC also serves as a one stop center for youth activities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community entrepreneurs.
The Ministry of Finance was appointed as the leading in every major city across the country.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the State Government in planning the transformation of the City Centre (UTC) in the state of Sarawak, which will involve various agencies of the Federal Government, agencies The State Government and the private sector.
Medan Niaga Sri Aman
Medan Niaga Sri Aman is located at Lot 2010 Part of Lot 1523, Sri Aman, Sarawak.
This project focuses on helping the community restructuring program and not making profits as a key objective. The project is a socio-economic project which is expected can help to increasing the income especially in the Bumiputera community to ensure there is no significant difference in economic status between the multiracial society in Sarawak and Malaysia as in line with the objectives of the National Development Policy.
Located in the middle of Sri Aman town, Medan Niaga Sri Aman was conceptually as a business space units in strategic locations that are the focus of the public to enable or provide a platform for entrepreneurs to compete with other races. It shall be functional, user friendly, practical, aesthetically pleasing and be responsive to the local climatic conditions with sufficient weather protection.
